Wright's Drive In

My wife and I ordered the chicken fried steak mashed potatoes and green beans plate. Chicken fried steak was very tender (didn't have to use a knife) tasted like it was hand breaded, not frozen. The mashed potatoes were made from real potatoes not instant, so delicious! Both were smothered homemade white gravy along with green beans that were seasoned. Service was old-fashioned friendly service. I'm looking forward to eating there again.

Really great food in a nostalgic atmosphere. Feels like eating in a 1960s drive up diner. We had a burger and Frito Pie with Coke floats. Truly delicious. When my 10 year old likes a Frito Pie? It MUST be good. Friendliest servers on the planet. Truly a great experience. Try it before the last of these places disappear.

Staying at the casino RV park. Came into Durant to grab some lunch and after reading some reviews we decided to try here. Are we glad we did! I had popcorn shrimp with onion rings and pinto beans for the sides. My husband had their Frito chili pie with chopped onions added. Everything was delicious! The pintos tasted like your grandma used to make—oh how I wish I could get mine to be that good. The service was extra-good. The ladies are so friendly and so sweet! When we’re back in Durant, we’ll definitely eat here again.
